Boost Your Productivity…Eat That Frog!

Here’s a productivity booster…move the most challenging thing you have to do to the #1 spot on your to do list.
In his book on time management, “Eat That Frog!: 21 Great Ways to Stop Procrastinating and Get More Done in Less Time”, author Brian Tracy suggests that if the hardest thing you have to do all day is eat a frog, get it done early, and the rest of your day will be more productive.
I’ve done it, and it works.
I suggested this idea to a client the other day. He reported back that he tried to eat that frog but the darn thing just wouldn’t go down! (It had something to do with Medicare paperwork…so I know it was a really big frog! Maybe some frogs need to be cut into smaller servings! )
I didn’t say that it would be easy. I didn’t say that it would taste good, I just told him that if he did it first, he would have a much better, more productive day!
So, take a look at your to do list and identify your frog. Put it first on the list! Bon Appetit!
